Cocoa Butter vs. Shea Butter

Using botanical oils like shea & cocoa butter are beneficial to your skin.  There are  differences between cocoa butter vs. shea butter.

Cocoa Butter is vegetable fat extracted from the cacao bean.  It contains natural antioxidants and moisturizing abilities for the treatment of dry chapped skin and lips.  It soothes itchy skin and absorbs quickly into the skin. Compounds in cocoa have been shown to improve blood flow and vessel function.

Shea Butter is extracted from the fruit of the shea or karite tree in Africa. African women have been using this oil for generations to protect their skin from the harsh sun, wind and salt water.  The oil contains very beneficial healing qualities that are valuable with nutrients and vitamins.

Both are excellent to use every day to  hydrate your skin but the shea butter has more healing qualities.  Apply it to a burn, sunburn, rash and bug bites.  Look for organic ingredients in all your skin care products to assure that what you put on your skin is as pure and clean as possible.

Cocoa butter vs. shea butter….which is better?  Both are skin loving and will provide big benefits to your skin.
